About Music Makers Academy
Every great artist starts somewhere. At Music Makers Academy that start is here. Where creativity is encouraged, confidence is built, and making music is a never ending adventure. There are no auditions, no pressure to be perfect, and no experience required.
We welcome students 8 through adult, whether they're picking up music for the very first time or ready to turn their ideas into finished songs. Our small, hands-on classes make learning fun, interactive, and approchable so that every future music maker feels supported from day one.
Parents can feel comfort in knowing their child is learning real-world creative and technical skills in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment.
Students will explore song writing, beat making, recording, music production, and mixing using Ableton Live while developing problem-solving skills, self-expression, and confidence in creative decision making.
The best part? Every student finishes the program with something they can be proud of: an original song they've written and produced themselves, professional released on major streaming platforms.
At Music Makers Academy, we don't just teach music software. We help our Music Makers discover their creativity, find their unique voice, and experience the excitement of bringing an idea to life.
Whether you dream of becoming an artist, producing for others, or simply making music for the joy of it, there's a place for you here.

Founder
Music Makers Academy
Cola Marion is the founder of Music Makers Academy. She began her musical journey at just 7 years old, and by 9 she had recorded her first single, performed halftime shows for the Orlando Magic, and acted on the TV show Dooley and Pals. While entertainment seemed to come second nature, music was always her strongest pull.
Cola’s musical journey has expanded over the years. She is self-taught in reading music and playing piano, guitar, and harmonica. She also learned how to produce and mix music in popular DAWs such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and Pro Tools. In 2018, she launched her own label, Joint Records Inc., distributing her own music and featuring many other artists, with a focus on lyricism and experimental music production under the stage name C.K. Marion.
Why Music Makers Academy? Cola grew up in a close-knit family, but money was tight. There wasn’t a budget for private lessons or many resources with limited funds. She started this academy to teach future music makers how to create everything they need to showcase their work on their own, sharing knowledge gained over decades—tips, tricks, and gigs.
She encourages young talent with the belief that “if there’s a will, there’s a way,” and to go for it without giving up. All that’s needed is dedication and belief in yourself to accomplish what’s been placed in your heart. It’s not about being the best; it’s about doing your best and having fun while doing it!
